A dozen Port Authority workers participated yesterday in a course on fire prevention and fighting in a day that was held at the facilities of the training company SEGANOSA (Seguridade Galega Nosa Terra S.A), in Salvaterra do Miño. The training included theoretical content and practices in extinguishing fires caused by different fuels and using various extinguishing agents. In addition, deployment, pressurization and configuration of the “attack cone” technique with equipped fire hydrants were practiced. The participants in this training are personnel from the first intervention teams as set out in the Internal Emergency and Self-Protection Plan of the Port of Marín.
