The Port Authority has just launched a tender for the project "Improving Sustainability at the Fishing Docks and Fish Market of the Port of Marín: Installation of Photovoltaic Self-Consumption." This project, valued at approximately €900,000, is co-financed by the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFF). The port continues to utilize European funds to make significant improvements to facilities in the fishing sector, such as the new roof of the fish market and the replacement of articulated pillars. This new project includes the installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of the fish market to generate electricity. The aim is to achieve a considerable improvement in energy efficiency and self-sufficiency, while also reducing atmospheric emissions.
