The Board of Directors approves the 2022 Business Plan for the Port Authority
In its online meeting held this afternoon, the Board of Directors gave initial approval to the 2022 Business Plan for the Port Authority. The document was previously discussed with State Ports Authority in a technical meeting held a few weeks ago.
The Business Plan for the coming year takes into account the current economic scenario marked by the coronavirus health crisis and the general forecasts regarding the recovery of the entire port system. Furthermore, this document is situated within the context of adapting to the Strategic Plan of the state port system, the drafting of which is nearing completion.
Thus, the Plan includes as its main strategic lines the implementation of investments geared towards realistic demand forecasts, the containment of current expenditures, and prudence in revenue projections. In addition, environmental sustainability criteria are applied in all areas of the port community and emphasis is placed on strengthening the port-city relationship through the port's role in boosting the local economy.
