The Board approves economic measures for Port companies affected by the coronavirus crisis
The Board of Directors of the Port Authority approved several economic measures this afternoon to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus crisis on the operations of various port companies. This package of resolutions addresses measures approved by the Board last year to reduce fees for port authorizations and concessions, granted in accordance with Royal Decree-Law 26/2020. Among these measures, reductions were approved for occupancy fees, activity fees, and minimum activity or traffic requirements for several applicant companies. Furthermore, the President of the Port Authority informed the Board members about port traffic figures for the first two months of the year, which showed a 1.10% increase compared to the same period last year. The Board also approved the sale of an abandoned vessel and the terms and conditions governing the procedure. It is a multipurpose semi-cabin boat, without an engine and in a state of disrepair.
