The Board of Directors receives training on the anti-fraud plan
In its last meeting of the year, the Board of Directors of the Port Authority, as the port's highest decision-making body, received training on the entity's Anti-Fraud Plan. The presentation was given by Concepción Campos, PhD in Law, Deputy Director of the Localis Network, and a specialist in Public Administration, who also explained the Next Generation EU funds management process to the board members.
The Port Authority has an anti-fraud control plan, as well as a Code of Conduct that places special emphasis on the execution of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) funds, taking into account the exclusively administrative powers assigned to the Port Authority.
The Plan is designed around four main areas of combating fraud: prevention, detection, correction, and prosecution. The document also outlines the procedure for addressing potential conflicts of interest and applies to all Port Authority actions and projects funded by NEXT GENERATION and MRR funds within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The Code of Conduct complements the plan and sets out the ethical principles and actions that must govern all Port Authority personnel in matters of equality, respect for individuals, prevention, environmental protection, public service, and other related issues.
