The Board of Directors approves the Port Authority's Code of Conduct
Following the approval and publication of the Port Authority's anti-fraud plan, the Board of Directors approved the entity's Code of Conduct this afternoon, a document that complements the Plan. The anti-fraud control measures place special emphasis on the execution of MRR (Recovery and Resilience Mechanism) funds, taking into account the exclusively administrative powers vested in the Port Authority. The Plan is designed around four main areas of combating fraud: prevention, detection, correction, and prosecution. The document also outlines the procedure to be followed for addressing potential conflicts of interest and is applicable to all Port Authority actions and projects financed by NEXT GENERATION and MRR funds within the framework established by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The Code of Conduct complements the plan and outlines the ethical principles and actions that must govern all Port Authority personnel in matters of equality, respect for individuals, prevention, environmental protection, public service, and other related issues. Energy Efficiency The Board of Directors, meeting this afternoon, also approved authorization for the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the Nodosa shipyard for self-consumption. They will also install two electric vehicle charging points in the concession's parking area. The Board commended the shipyard's commitment to the use of renewable energy and its contribution to sustainable development, in line with the Port Authority's environmental strategy. Likewise, an extension to the administrative concession of the refrigeration company Cabomar was approved, with the aim of improving the engine room by incorporating new refrigeration equipment and acquiring new packaging and weighing equipment. The frozen and chilled fish industry at the Port of Marín is of strategic interest to this Port Authority, and its priority objective is to promote and consolidate improvements in the productivity of the processes that make up the value chain, from the reception and processing of the resource at the source to its arrival at the end consumer. Start of the Year The President of the Port Authority informed the board members of the figures for January, highlighting a considerable increase compared to the first month of the previous year. The port registered an increase in cargo across all major categories at the beginning of this year.
