Weekly fruit shipments from Brazil begin unloading at the port
Weekly unloading of fruit from Brazil resumed this Monday at the Port of Marín. The vessel Baltc Lady is set to discharge 1,140 tons of tropical fruit—part of a seasonal trade route that has been serving Marín since 2024.
This weekly service connects the port of Natal, Brazil, with Marín, Rotterdam, and Dover, making Marín the first European port of call on this transoceanic route. The cargo consists primarily of melons and mangoes.
The shipping agent for the cargo is Agencia Marítima Davimar, and unloading operations will take place at the Davila Reefer Terminal—a Davila Group facility located at Marín’s South Commercial Quay. The shipping company operating the route between South America and Europe is Cool Carriers. The Baltc Lady, a refrigerated cargo ship, arrived at the port yesterday.
