The Port Authority is tendering for technical assistance for the rehabilitation of the Camoucos beacon tower
The Port Authority has just published on its procurement platform the tender for technical assistance services for the project management of the Camoucos beacon tower rehabilitation. The work includes environmental monitoring, quality control, waste management control, and maritime works surveillance.
The Camoucos beacon tower is one of the main maritime signals in the Pontevedra Estuary. It is equipped with a red port-side mark with a range of 10 nautical miles. Its rehabilitation involves a complex maritime project to reinforce the tower's foundations to ensure its structural stability, as it is located in an area highly exposed to waves and wind, as well as the demolition and restoration of part of the tower.
Subsequently, the Port Authority plans to undertake the rehabilitation of another beacon tower in the estuary, the Mourisca beacon tower, as part of its Investment Plan. In this case, it is a 13-meter-high tower with a green starboard lateral mark and a range of 5 nautical miles. Both are essential elements for ensuring navigational safety within the Pontevedra Estuary.
